Ivan Gonzalez is appointed as CEO Reinsurance China and China Country President, effective 1 July 2022. He will have composite responsibilities for all Reinsurance operations in the market.

Ivan has worked and lived across many parts of the world including Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America and accumulated extensive business experience in international insurance and reinsurance market.

Ivan started his career in June 2000 as a financial analyst with Swiss Re Capital Partners in New York and assisted in several private equity investments in the financial services sector. In September 2006, he moved to Swiss Re Group Strategy in Zurich and was subsequently appointed as Swiss Re Corporate Solutions CEO Latin America in January 2011. In July 2016, he was appointed as the Regional CEO North America for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and responsible for commercial insurance business with corporations in the United States of America and Canada, led the successful financial turnaround of the North America portfolio.
