David Zhang is now the Head of Life & Health Reinsurance Business for Swiss Re China. He is also a member of Asia Management Team.

David has strong experience in the reinsurance industry. He has participated and led various Regulatory and Insurance Association of China's research projects as expert member. David currently also served as the Vice- chairman of Health insurance committee under IAC from 2021.  Prior to Swiss Re, he had rich experience with direct insurance company, worked across and led Actuarial Department, Product department, Strategic Planning Department, as well as Asset Management and Risk Management. He was a member of the management team of a domestic insurer before Joined SwissRe China, David started his career with Ping An Group and worked with Actuarial & Planning Department. David also had practical experience and training with American Aegon and Italy Intesa Sanpaolo in his career.
