Lin joined IFC in 2001 and led a number of technical assistance and policy reform in the areas of credit reporting, secured transactions reform and movables finance development, risk management and asset and liability management of commercial banks, microfinance.  In the area of microfinance, she managed the technical assistance work for multiple microfinance institutions in China. She also led a number of research works including SME Mapping in Sichuan and Zhejiang provinces, SME financing, the sustainable development of China's private sector, industrial clusters of Sichuan.
