Mr. Lei received his bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees from the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University. He has long been engaged in the policy research and development of inclusive finance and rural finance. He has published several monographs such as the Subprime Mortgage Crisis, Interest Rate Liberalization, Financial Benchmarks, and Internet Finance. He also participated in some China-Germany and China-Britain intergovernmental cooperation projects, including “Asset Prices and Monetary Policy Relations,” “Market Research on High-Yield Corporate Bonds and Credit Derivatives,” and “Research on the Shadow Banking System”. He was Director and Associate Research Fellow of the General Policy Research office at the Financial Research Institute of PBoC.
