Chengyu Bai has been devoted himself to project management and research on international development cooperation for more than 30 years. He has profound experience in international cooperation and extensive cooperation relationships. In the 1990s, he participated in the design and management of UNDP's Micro-credit Pilot Projects in China, which established 45 micro-credit institutions. He became an expert in poverty alleviation and micro-credit. He has rich theoretical knowledge and practical experience in these fields. In 2005, he introduced the concept of inclusive financial system to China and promoted the People's Bank of China to carry out research on the construction of China's inclusive financial system. After 2010, through cooperation with UNDP's projects, he involved the innovation and promotion of rural cooperatives' mutual fund business. In 2018, he participated in the innovation work of introducing the new movement of SDG finance to China, and engaged in the initiation and management of UNDP's SDG Finance Research and Promotion Project in China. In 2021, he joined the initiation of UNDP SDG Finance for Rural MSMEs Revitalization Project in China and in charge of project management.
